We have a 3 year old who for the first time in her life tried to swim on her own and nearly drowned. And that is because my husband never wanted to put a fence around the pool. Now he is looking into getting one put in and the sad thing is that it took something almost tragic to make him do it. I have always hated the pool and asked him to put one in but no, it makes the pool look cheap.
People, people, people, please don't be stubborn about something so serious. GET A FENCE. Loosing a child, whether your own or someone elses, is not worth it. Fences are there for a reason.
We had to learn the hard way.
And she will be getting lessons this summer.
